Biographical Note

Barry Curtis was born on September 10, 1943 in Los Angeles, California as Barry Alan Curtis. He was an actor, known for The Adventures of Champion (1955), One Desire (1955) and Annette (1958). After making his last appearance on an episode of Lassie, Barry went to college - graduating from UCLA summa cum laude and going on to receive a PhD in Philosophy from Harvard in 1975. He became a philosophy professor, taught at 5 universities eventually gaining tenure at the University of Hawaii at Hilo. Curtis retired from teaching in 2011 and moved to San Luis Obispo, California. He died on January 13, 2019 in Hilo, Hawaii.
