Abstract Eva Scott Fenyes (1849-1930) was an artist who spent more than thirty years traveling from San Diego to Sonoma, California to preserve the history and aesthetic beauty of her surroundings through her artwork. She moved to Pasadena, California circa 1896 where assisted with the founding of the Pasadena Emergency League in 1910 and the Pasadena Music and Art Association in 1912. Abstract Isable Lopez de Fages wrote the introduction and descriptions in the book of Eva Scott Fenyes paintings Thirty-two Adobe Houses of Old California published in 1950. This manuscript collection contains information on almost all of the Fenyes paintings, as well as all of Lopez de Fages' drafts, correspondence, and notes. Materials in this collection are dated from 1935-1949.
