Scope and contents

This collection consists of an autograph book from the Hayward Indian School in Hayward, Wisconsin; drawings from the Hopi Indian Reservation in Keams Canyon, Arizona; and written exams from the Sherman Institute in Riverside, California. The Sherman Institute is now known as the Sherman Indian School.

Most of the work seem to be created by school-age children. The exams were written by 7th and 8th grade students.

All work is hand-written or hand-drawn and undated.
