Abstract
J. V. (Jacob Vradenberg) Brower (1844-1905) was an ethnologist and explorer. At the request of Southwest Museum director Frederick Webb Hodge, J. V. Brower composed this autobiographical sketch in 1902. This is a photostatic copy made by the Huntingon Free Library and Reading Room, New York City in 1932.

Bruce Bryan (1906-2004) was a writer, editor, archaeologist, and anthropologist whose work focused on the American Southwest. This collection includes research material; fiction and non-fiction writings by Bryan; and writings about Bryan between 1924 and 1982. The collection also includes photographs taken in Arizona, California, New Mexico, and Nevada between 1909 and 1994, predominately relating to Bryan’s archaeological fieldwork.
